Playhouse Day Nursery

Introduction At Playhouse Day Nursery we offer the highest quality care and education for young children in our open-plan hall. Our aim is to create a warm and bright atmosphere, in which our caring qualified staff will help your children feel secure right from the start of their time with us. We also aim to provide a stimulating environment for the children in our care, where they can learn to share, take turns and grow into independent individuals prepared for our society. Learning Through Play The emphasis at Playhouse is to learn through play, and children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. The younger ones have their routine to suit them. Toddlers and pre-school children have a more structured day in line with the government's Early Learning Goals, still with plenty of free choice of activities. Children are encouraged to integrate with each other to stimulate confidence and caring. Nursery Aims and Objectives A wide variety of play materials are provided within a structured daily routine where the children can learn to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. We prepare our children for a natural transition to school life whilst building up a strong character to enable them to deal with challenges. Children enjoy a variety of books and toys suitable for each age group. Craft activities and 'messy play' with sand and water, paint and glue and writing skills are also encouraged in each age group.
